Tense problem, future or perfect, continuous or simple

Could you please tell me how you would say these sentences please?

1 I was going to tell you once I finished it/once I had finished it.
2 No one (had) listened to his music until he died/had died/was dead.
3 She is going home when others are going to work./She goes home when other are going to work.
4 She will have done some of my work if she's the one I'm replacing at work, but if it's someone else I'm taking over (for), you know I'll have all the work to do as no one will do someone of the work for me.

And could you tell me if this is correct grammatically and understandable?

5 It all depends on what you consider a cat to be. It all depends on whether you consider your cat family or just something you don't like or trust. If you consider it family use WHO if not use WHICH when talking about it in "The cat who/which ....."

6 The subway was about to pull out but that didn't get him to hurry up to jump into the metro, as if he knew that something was going/would to stall its departure. He slowly made his way into the car.

Thank you
