Tense agreement

1) The present was what I wanted to give you last week.

2) This present is what I wanted to give you last week.

3) This present was what I wanted to give you last week.

The goes well with was and this goes well with is and then what about #3? Is the sentence unnatural or is it also okay to use in some certain context?

Thank you so much and then how about #2? Some teacher says #2 is natural, but some says it is unnautral. If it is okay to use, what is a meaning difference between #2 and #3?
