Hey, I don't know if it is right to say this , but having to choose the right tense is challenging for me as an English learner and I always get confused , and I was just wondering if we could mix tenses in English. For example, suppose I was drunk last night and I was unconscious . I woke up this morning with a part of my memory missing then can I say I have no idea what I was doing? then Suppose one of my friends later shows me a photo where I was dancing. should I then say I had no idea what I was doing because after she showed me the photo I was able to get an idea about what had happened. 2. I know it is right to say If I had known you were sick, I would have brought you to the hospital .However ,could we say something like If I knew you were sick I would have brought you to the hospital in verbal English/ casual conversation. Just want to make sure that's correct
Thank you in advance.
