Tense

The couple ( bought) a set of four hand- painted, ceramic plaques in which each (features) pastoral scenes that depict the labor.

I found the above line in SAT.

My question is- here ( features) and ( depict) is present tense but ( bought) is past tense.Is the sentence is right?

And, if I say - the couple has bought .....features...

Would it be right?

The tenses are correct. The plaques were bought in the past, but the plaques still feature those scenes, and the scenes still depict "the labor". However, there are other problems. "... in which each features ..." is not correct. "the labor" is probably also incorrect. (It could conceivably be correct if referring to instance(s) of labor previously mentioned.)
