Tense

Could you confirm whether both of the following tense forms are right and natural? If so, could you tell me under what circumstances you would prefer #1 to #2, and vice versa? Thank you in advance.

1. We'll look forward to receiving your applications.

2. We're looking forward to receiving your applications.

My preference would be: We look forward to receiving your applications. I wouldn't use the future tense at all. Your second sentence is also possible.
