Tense

Which is correct? Or are they both fine but different in meaning?

As we live, we will experience things we didn't expect.
As we live, we will experience things we don't expect.

Both sentences are understandable, but the wording in them is not right. The phrase, "as we live," is rarely used in (American) English. The only time you might hear it is in a formal religious context.

  • These sentences might be said instead, as: In life you'll experience unexpected things.
