0 Hi, Which tense is right? I was listening to a English sermon by Pastor Yea (I think that is how it is spelt) in Onnuri Church in Korea today and I think he talked about this person who got beat up by some bullies. I think his story went something like this. I am paraphrasing. Please correct this if needed to be. 02 br

00 This person got beat up a lot, expecially when he was walking back from school. So, he took some martial arts classes and became better at it .. Then, one day, he decided to walk back home from school to see if 01 u 00 they were (can I use 'are' here???) 02 u 00 there (still). He wanted to practice his skills. 0-
