00I think it was noted that if telling a general truth, you need not make a tense-shift. Do these fit that model of explanation?02br

00I didn't know you have a sense of humor. -- Obviously the telling is in the past but 'have' is in the present. Why? Is that because the person referred to as 'you' is still alive and has a sense of humor still??02br

00He asked for the candy that is on sale. -- The candy on sale is still on sale at the time of speaking this line?02br

00He thought he is the perfect man for his daughter. -- The fact he think he is a perfect man for his daughter is still an ongoing thouht?? 0-
