00 I think it was noted that if telling a general truth, you need not make a tense-shift. Do these fit that model of explanation? 02 br

00 I didn't know you have a sense of humor. -- Obviously the telling is in the past but 'have' is in the present. Why? Is that because the person referred to as 'you' is still alive and has a sense of humor still?? 02 br
