Tens of thousands

When it comes to phrases like 1. "tens of thousands of people" , 2. "several tens of thousands of years" , 3. " hunderds of hundreds people",.... What magnitude should I interpret? How many are they approximately?
1. 2. between ten thousand and a hundred thousand?
3. at the scale of ten thousand?
Is there a way to say "a few tens"? Thank you very much.

Those phrases are meant to be a little vague, but I would interpret-- and I stress that this is MY FEELING ONLY of ESTIMATED numbers: 'tens of thousands' -- 20,000-90,000 'several tens of thousands' -- 40,000-150,000 'hundreds of thousands' -- 200,000-900,000 X 'hundreds of hundreds' -- I have never heard this one, but 'hundreds and hundreds' would be 500-1500 'a few score' -- 60-160 That's the best I can do; I'll bet we get umpteen other opinions on this one.

'tens of thousands' -- 20,000-90,000

'several tens of thousands' -- 40,000-150,000

'hundreds of thousands' -- 200,000-900,000

X 'hundreds of hundreds' -- I have never heard this one, but 'hundreds and hundreds'
