Which is correct?
That's a telltale sign /indication of someone's laziness.

I've been waiting for someone to answer this, since I did find a couple of instances of "telltale indication." However, I've always used "telltale sign" or even just a "telltale."

That's an indication of someone's laziness. That's a telltale sign of someone's laziness. Both are good.
