Telling or asking for help

Hello,

One of the many usages of "Could and Would" is asking for help.

Could you open the door please?

Would you open the door please?

Which one is more natural and used widely?

I am not able to understand " telling for the help" usage of "would" and "Could"?

Thanks.

  • It is not 'telling for help'; it is simply telling: 'asking for help and telling': I could open the door for you if you asked me nicely.
