The Hotel is near by.
but confused with below sentences
The Hotel is near to apartment The hotel is near the apartment ..... This doesn't say which direction nor does it describe the proximity.
The Hotel is near (the)apartment
same way
The Hotel is opposite of the apartment Or, The hotel is directly across from the apartement.
The Hotel is opposite to apartment
A final note, for many public establishments, the article "the" is required. For example:
" I live in the condo directly from the Starbucks across the street". This description clearly identifies the direction and location of your place.
