Tell me the subject

Hi

Would you tell me the subject of "support Windows server 2008 and.."? Seems like You but it makes no sense.

"When it comes to server monitoring, Big Brother® is a trusted solution for flexible, affordable, and dependable coverage. Our professional edition provides heterogeneous server monitoring on any network - within minutes of installation. You can even operate Big Brother from your Smartphone, as well as, support Windows Server 2008, and VMware."

Thanks,

M

I presume that the comma after 'as well as' is a typo and should be deleted. The sentence then reads:

You can...operate...as well as support....

Thank you, MM, for the quick reply.

so that's what I thought at first.

does that sentence make sense to you? A person supports Windows Server?

Oh, sort of, if you don't think about the logic too carefully. The phone can support WS2008, and you control the phone.

boy, at least I've tried.

Would you please rephrase the sentence for me? I'm getting confused, and can't see the whole picture.

Thank you in advance,

mitsuwao23You can even operate Big Brother from your Smartphone, as well as, support Windows Server 2008, and VMware.
Yeah, I'd get rid of the second and third commas.

You can operate X, as well as support Y and Z.

(Two different verbs - "can operate" and "can support." The "can" distributes to both of them.)

I think it's an operating system issue.

We're often faced with problems when a particular operating system "will/does not support a particular application."

I remember calling Windows customer service in the 80's when my new OS was giving me trouble with my old BasicA app.
The guy put me on hold for 20 minutes, and finally came back with:
"Windows version XXXX do
