There is no simple way to learn, so just dig in and reconcile yourself to the fact that it takes about 800 hours of ACTIVE participation in classes or English-speaker contact to acquire a basic ability to use the language. Reading is helpful for learning vocabulary, but movies are almost useless because the student is too passive. Take classes or find someone to talk with.
