Grammar

Tell me how to get there. -> Tell me how I can / should get there.

I do not know what to do.
-> I do not know what I should do.

I do not know where to go.
-> I do not know where I should go.

I have learned that we should use 'should' when we convert what where how, etc to do to that clauses like the examples above.

However, come to think of it, sometimes using should is not natural in some cases like

Tell me how to get there.
-> Tell me how I can get there.

Or it should be 'Tell me how I should get there.'?

So my question is, Should we use 'should' for that clauses converted from interrogative words such as what, how, where, etc to do?

What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance!
