Tell

1.Tell me where we met, please.
2.I want to know where we met.
3.Would you mind telling me where we met?

Is there any difference in meaning between these two sentences?

Top answer

they all seem a bit odd - why don't you KNOW where we met? - you were there too! if the question was less surreal, then I'd say the meaning is almost the same, but it depends on the contexts and the participants' relationship 2) could seem more aggressive 3) is very polite
