What's the correct term for the telephones in houses?

is it fixed phones/ land lines / home telephones?

In Canada, people normally say to me '444-5555 is my cell, and 444-12234 is my home phone".

If I was to be pedantic [*** forbid], I would say that this is technically "xxxxx is my cell phone number and xxxx is my home phone number", but that in normal usage it is elided.

I do hear "landline" quite a bit - even those cordless phones require a base that is plugged in to the phone system somewhere.
