Telephone Conversation

Hi,

When I received a call from a person, and he/she is asking for my manager. When I direct the call to my manager, do I say," Hi manager, there is a person named Melody calling on line 1. " is that correct? Or should I say, " Hi Manager, there is a person name Melody on line 1 calling?"

Thanks
