- Is this ok to say?

Most people I speak with don't know the difference between healthy and healthful. A person (or animal) that is not sick is healthy. Something that makes them well is healthful.

In AmE, though, we would probably say harmful instead of unhealthful.

A better word would be "wholesome" / "unwholesome", since "healthy/healthful" is generally taken to refer to physical health.

I have never heard anyone using "healthful" where they meant "healthy" in general conversation.
