teenage or adolescent

Would you please explain to me when we would use 'adolescent' or 'teenage'?

teenage boy
adolescent boy

I've heard teenage singer, actor or ... but I haven't heard adolescent singer.

They are very similar, but teenager refers to a specific age between 13 and 19, and adolescent refers to a biological age being in the middle child and adult.
