Technology seperates the rich and the poor

The range of technology available to people is increasing the gap between the rich and the poor. Others think that it has an opposite effect. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Many people perceive that technological advancements are the cause of the gap between the wealthy and the needy whereas the rest insist on the decrease in it. From my perspective, however accessible technology to every class is, I believe that it does result in few connections amongst people.

It is clear that today, as distinct from the past, modern equipment is inexpensive which anyone can easily have at least ne. To illustrate, we can see that every family all over the world has in their houses some basis and essentials like wardrobes, mirrors, fridges and TVs. Moreover, Internet is widely developed and it is therefore accessible for humans to use. Thanks to it, they can work and study from their homes regardless of their poverty or wealth, and some of them are even paid well and given scholarships via this method.

Nevertheless, I am convinced that there are some things inaccessible to the poor which contribute to the gap between them and the rich. First, special treatment is such an enormous challenge for needy individuals when they suffer from a disease. For example, in Vietnam, an operation for eyes is worth over 10 million VND which only the wealthy ones can afford. Second, rich people often consider some luxury goods which satisfy their high demands for recreation to be a bargain while the poor ones do not. It seems to me that a Gucci designed dress or a Ferrari car, for instance, just belongs to high classes. Finally, wealthy people have the chance to enjoy delicacies across the world such as pizzas, ramen, lobsters and oysters. In contrast, needy people simply have cheap and crappy meals which are poorly nutritious.

To conclude, although Internet and modern gadgets make everyone closer, I believe the gap between them is still considerably large because of foreign food, posh things and costly treatment.
