It is inevitable that traditional cultures will be lost as technology develops. Technology and traditional cultures are incompatible.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

Technology has improved the quality of life significantly. Some people think that rapid development of technology is one of the main factors causing the loss of traditional features. I completely disagree with this view and believe that the coincidence of technical advancements and traditional activities is possible.

First, the enhancements of technology have contributed to the maintenance and preservation of customs and made it closer to the public. 50 years ago in Vietnam, for example, two or more generations lived together under a single roof and grew up in the same small village community. Therefore, these communities have a strong sense of identity. They maintain traditional activities by celebrating festivals annually or sharing them by word of mouth. However, the appearance of modern technology promotes the traditional values to approach different terrorists and make them more well-known. It can see that social media or digital channels help to spread religious cultures throughout the world.

Second, traditional features still thrive homing to the development of technology. For instance, most of farmers in developing countries consider the technical equipment including smartphone, computer or the internet to be sophisticated and luxurious tools, so they tend to predict the weather based on signals in nature, and traditional skills are passed on to children by parents and elders. Harvesters from the rich nations are embracing communications technologies to access the latest information from weather predictions to market prices, which support agriculture flourishing.

In conclusion, traditional cultures and modern technology can coincide. By implementing profound measures, both can support each other to bring benefits and positive influences to people.
