Technical writers present information in science, electronics

Hi

For some reason I find the use of "in" in the text below a little unnatural to me. I don't know reason for this. On the other hand, I think it won't be correct to say 'information about science, electronics,...' because it would mean that information is about the areas and not about processes, methods, theories, etc. which those areas address. I feel that saying something like "information related to science, electronics, ..." is a more proper way. What do you say? Perhaps, I'm confused about the use "information in" and "information about". Please help me. Thank you.

Technical communication is the process of transmitting facts and information to a defined audience for a specific purpose. More simply, technical communication is writing for understanding. Technical writers present information in science, electronics, or other technical areas on a professional level, backed up by data and facts, so that the information is complete and accurate.
