These are 'car questions', and I have no skills or in-depth knowledge in this area. However, I think . . .

'intake air heating' relates to heating the air before it is mixed with fuel for ignition.

'lean' in this context refers, I think, to mixing only a very small amount of fuel with the air, prior to ignition. I think the opposite to 'lean' in this context would be 'rich', eg 'a rich fuel mixture'.

However, perhaps someone with automotive skills can offer you a much better answer.
