Technical knowledge of finance and accounting discipline.

Hello, could someone chech the following sentence:

I possess sound technical knowledge of finance and accounting discipline.

I am addressing the selection criteria for a job applicaiton. I think there is something wrong with the sentence. BTW can finance and accounting be discribed as discipline?

Thank you.

" I suppose you could call these two areas of expertise "disciplines", but it seems awkward to me. If you're dead set on using the word discipline, may I suggest "I possess sound technical knowledge in the disciplines of finance and accounting".
