Technical (accounting) English

Hi,

Is the following sentence correct?

"By default, miscellaneous components are assumed to serve as inflows. Therefore, unless explicitly stated the otherwise, negative values represent miscellaneous outflows."

I'm not so sure with the word "stated"

Thanks in advance, AL

The only grammar error is that "stated the otherwise" should be "stated otherwise". I can't comment on the correctness of the technical vocabulary.
