"tech speak" - can't find the right term

Hi,

PLEASE help!

EX: 50% of machinery used at the plant where I work are very very old.
Each machine has a specific "standard life time" (aka "operation time", or "exploitation life", etc.), according to its specification.

How to say in English that a certain machine has worked for a period of time that it twice as large as its "spec based" life time?

Please recast the following:

"All our machinary has overlived its usefulness" (not sure it this language makes sence to you :-( )

Please give me a few "alternatives" that might be used for me to convey this idea ( ="This machinary is totally worked out ... the tools' actual life time exceeds the specification life time manyfold...)

The machinery is worn out, having exceeded its specified (warrantied) lifetime by a factor of 2. The machinery is on the verge of failure, having been operated far beyond the lifetime specified by the manufacturer. The machinery is obsolete (if newer equipment is much better).

Here are some; certainly not all:

50% of the machines used at the plant where I work are very, very old.
All our machinery has outlived its usefulness.
All our machinery is fully depreciated.
All our machinery is operating / has operated / has continued to function for double its predicted lifespan.

MUSCOVITEWell, looks like "to outlive its usefulness" DOES make sense to native speakers!
Yes, it is fairly common, but implies that the object is no longer functioning very well.
