Teaching Resources for the Elderly ...

Apologies if this has been asked before or if this is not the right forum.

My mother (age: 65) wishes to learn English (American/British) speaking. She is a reasonable learner and does not know any English (well, she knows few words).

What are my best options? Is Rosetta Stone any good? I sincerely appreciate any responses.

Thank you,
Kedar

Hi Avangi,

Thank you for your support and encouragement. I am sorry for offending you by calling a 65-year-old an elderly. I had known about it (the probably misuse of the term "elderly"). I should have been more cautious.

Getting her on EF is an option although another problem pops up -- the computer and its accessibility (especially who does not know English)! That alone expa

kedar.mhaswadeHas anyone tried (and would recommend) RosettaStone?
Actually, I remember an English-speaking friend in my chorus saying that he had used it in preparation for a recent trip to Colombia, and that he was more than satisfied with it. He's at least as old as your mother, and I assume he's a college graduate.
