Teaching naughty kids

Hi,

One day John’s wife told him that their 2 years old son always naughty and so defiant. His wife said “Our kid always break the rules we set and easy to get angry. He always screaming and lose his temper when I stop him. We need to teach him as early as possible otherwise it become harder to teach him to behave. (The later we teach, the more difficult to make him behave.) “

Is that correct for the above sentences?

Thanks for help!

I always confuse "year old" and "years old". When I check from the web, it is difficult to judge which one is correct. Could you help clarify?

Thanks

'Year-old' is the attributive adjective, just like '10-minute' in '10-minute coffee break': A 10-year-old boy doesn't need to shave.
'Years old' is a predicate complement, just like '10 minutes' in 'Your coffee break is 10 minutes in length': Bobby is 10 years old.
