hello..i'm indonesian. here i would like to ask you , how to teach English for children in the early age ? what is the method ? thank you

It would be helpful to know the age of the child or children and if you are thinking about their learning English in an academic setting or at home. With children under the age of 5, just playing with them in English will be greatly beneficial to their learning the language. They will want to communicate. Unlike adults or older children, they won't feel frustration at not understanding, possibly because they live in a world where they don't even understand everything in their native language. Natural play is a great teacher. Draw and color pictures together. Put puzzles together. Make something to eat and then eat it at the table, discussing how much fun it was to cook.

There are a lot of children's poems and songs that have hand and body movements. You could use those, too. Build things with blocks. Read picture books to them. Ask them about the pictures. Prompt them if they don't know. "What color is the little dog?" The child might say, "Brown." You say, "That's right. The dog is brown." And you ask, "What does the dog say?" If they don't answer, you answer: "The dog says bow-wow." You might make noise like a dog and say bow-wow a lot. The child will like that and play along.

You need to model a lot for them. Prompt them. Accept what they say. Provide language for them. Don't discuss abstract topics. Talk about "the here and now." You have to provide a lot of context, but you have to do that even when you are teaching any child his/her native language. If the child says something partially correct, say what they meant to say for them. They might repeat it; they might not. But they'll hear and learn it. Be patient and have fun.

Yes. Make learning English fun. But some funny English books and games for children. Read the books together.
Play the games together.

Have set time when everyone in the house must speak only English.
Learn new words when you eat and play together.
Watch English language videos. Pick videos that are good for the age group and are at their level.
