LARRY CULP

(GE CEO)

David, good to be with you. It's uh... it's been an interesting two years, uh, on this turnaround journey. Uh, but you'll recall when I think you and I were together in March, we were in a very different place, right? We knew that our aviation and healthcare businesses were outstanding franchises, and the, the challenge in early 2020 was take that next step (1??)and I'll be leveraging which we did in March with the, uh, 20 billion-dollar proceeds for our BioPharma sale, and really then continued to build momentum with respect to turnaround in both our power and our renewable businesses. I think today's results headlined by 500-million-dollar positive free cash number gives, uh, real support to the argument that the turnaround is underway. It's still early, David. (2??)make... uh... make no mistake. (What does this sentence mean, teacher???) But we're very encouraged by what we saw on our power business particularly in gas power. And, uh, (3??)renewable sources properable was a source the first time in two years (4??)we had for our recording segments in fact profitable. Healthcare though was the standout business force in the third quarter. Aviation is still (5??)in the pressure of back of the departures being down now 40 percent.

(6??)summary: GE saw a good number today, but our businesses are still afoot to go forward.
