Hi, teachers ?
I wrote a part of an interview with Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart.
Could you watch the video below from 43:03 to 44:15 and correct the colored parts in my transcription?
I know there would be other errors as well in it, but I highlighted sentences that are ungrammatical or whose meanings are unclear to me first!
MCMILLON ON COMPETITON WITH AMAZON Host: Your biggest competitor in the online businesses in obviously Amazon, I assume. Is that correct? D: It is, in the U.S. H: What have you learned from Amazon? Do they teach you certain things, inadvertently teach you certain things that you’ve make your online business better or you’ve done something so they wish that they have done? D: Well, whether it’s them or others, I think the goal is to learn from them in apply what should be applied, and definitely the customer’s spoken they want convenience and a broad sort of in timely delivery. So in some aspects, we’re trying to do exactly the same thing that they’re trying to do. In other respects, we’ve got a set of assets that are unique to Walmart, and we are trying to put them to work, so maybe one of the big differences is super lazy to kind of the digital viewer and e-commerce viewer how we’re using our stores. And the fact that you can go on your app, and purchase items or reorder items you’ve bought before, and swing by the store later that day, and open up the trunk, and somebody will drop it in for you, super efficient. And Americans have particularly really liked that service. So there are unique aspects to our strategy, and I think that stores are underpinned to most of us. |
Teachers, thank you so much for reading my post.
I’m looking forward to getting your reply ?.? ![]()
