Topic: Traffic congestion is becoming a huge problem for many major cities. Suggest some measures that could be taken to reduce traffic in big cities.

Nowadays, it is obvious that most cities over the world are becoming much busier and they are severely suffering from traffic congestion. In my opinion, this problem must be tackled as soon as possible.

To solve any problems we should find and eliminate the root causes and obviously, chief among many reason for traffic jams is that majority of people tend to use their own cars instead of mass transit service. Therefore, to solve this problem we should do two things simultaneously: encourage habitats to use public transportation and limit the number of private vehicles entering inner city area. The former can be done by enhancing the level of service quality of public transportation service and offering a competitive fee in comparison with the amount of money must be paid to when using private vehicles. Meanwhile, the car owners have to charge a high fee if they want to drive into cities is a good way to decrease the levels of congestion. By this way, not only the traffic is improved but also money will be raised to build new, modern public transportation system.

In conclusion, the problem of traffic congestion can be tackled by improving public transportation and by charging drivers who enter inner city area.
