1. He taught students in English.

2. He taught students English.

Q1) #1 means I taught students something in English, doesn't it?

Q2) #2 means I taught students English but does not know if he taught it in English or Korean, doens't it?

Q3) To avoid an ambiguity in #2, can I say "He taught students English in English?"

3. He tutored students in English

My dictionary denotes the use of the verb tutor as [VN] ~sb (in sth).

Can I use the verb tutor like my question #3: "He tutored students English in English?"
