Taxi...

On my way to interviewing nobel prize-winning tech guru
Michael Holt, my taxi (Is taxi here another word for car?) ran out of gas.
So I got out, like a good soldier, and I pushed. Then a bus ran through a mud puddle.
Not that I don't mind a good mud bath (Shouldn't don't be omited?) but I prefer mine without clothes.

"Taxi" is a car that you call for a ride somewhere. "Cab" is another word for it. [I've always thought that 'taxi' is a rather universal term.]
