taught skills with equal and saggering success?

Hello,

please clarify what's written in red :

When taking a "whole-brain" approach to reading instruction, which combines the resourses of the left and right hemisphere, Renee Fuller, Ph.D. taught reading and language acquisitions skills to both males and females with equal and staggering success.

Was it the result or the way she taught them? Emotion: tongue tied

and please how do I pronounce the name "Fuller" because I have to write it transliterated, I mean is it pronounced in a French way or is it a regular American family name?

Fuller is a relatively common name. As to pronunciation, [if she is American] Renee Fuller = ren-ee full-er

I've never heard the name pronounced in an way other than the French: re-nay (accent on 2nd syllable).

Me neither.

In Maine, where they have this bizarre tendancy to over-Anglicize French names, I've heard "Renny" for males named Rene, but I've never met a woman who didn't pronounce Renee as rheh-NAY or ruh-NAY.

I accept your corrections - but I did hear it pronounced this way in New York [can't now remember exactly which occasion it was, but it was at some conference or other]
