Tattoo

Hi everybody!

I love tattoos and am dying to get one myself, but I'm a little unsure how to use the words correctly. I want to have a written tattoo on mye foot and I want it to say "One step at the time" or "One step at a time". Which one is the "correct"?

Thank you<3

Hi Andrea, Welcome to English Forums. " All I can tell you is that it hurt so much more than I thought it would and I wouldn't have done it if I'd known that ahead of time, but I guess it depends where you do it on your body. I hope if you do it, you are very happy with the result.

Hi Andrea,

Welcome to English Forums. It's "One step at a time."

All I can tell you is that it hurt so much more than I thought it would and I wouldn't have done it if I'd known that ahead of time, but I guess it depends where you do it on your body.

I hope if you do it, you are very happy with the result. (I like the result, just not what it took to get there.)

The second one is natural. The first one is ungrammatical. (Hope it doesn't hurt too much!Emotion: surprise )
