"TASTE" specific to CLOTHES and FOOD??

How would you properly say this sentence?

- Your taste changes as you grow older. You might like something you didn't such as meat ora coffee. Something, you can go from one extreme to the other. You might hate coffee and than strat loving it with age.

Now taste i.e. liking can be for anything. One can have a liking for chinese food, one can have a liking for specific kinds of clothes.

In my opinion, taste can be used for experiences as well.

I'm enjoying the taste of freedom.
