Please help me to correct this essay:

Topic: Some people think that scientists experimenting animals in a laboratory is the only way we can guarantee new products will be safe for human use. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Many people believe that scientists using animals for experiments in a laboratory is the one and only way to ensure safety for human products. Personally, I only agree in part with this opinion for the following grounds.

To begin with, these lab experiments should only be carried out on animals for the reason that many of them are too dangerous and risky to be tested directly on humans. More specifically, investigating on a living human-being in order to guarantee that a new product is safe enough for other people to use would be meaningless if those hazardous experiments resulted in the death or severe diseases of involved human subjects. For example, mice are usually used to conduct genetically modified experiments instead of human as it requires repeated trials and thousands of lives to tackle the phenomenon that threatens people.

On the contrary, some people may argue that animals have as much right to live and to be protected as human beings. Therefore, if hundreds of animals’ lives are wasted on an endless number of experiments in the laboratory only to meet the needs of human, why don’t people take responsibilities for their own acts and demands? For example, it can be considered cruel that human keep bees within lab rooms in which they stand a chance of dying as they are out of their natural habitats. In addition, bees living in the wild can even produce honey that are used by human daily.

In conclusion, I believe that animals and humans are both precious and of great importance. It is inevitable that some scientific experiments are conducted on animals, however, human definitely should not overuse and take experimental animals for granted.
