To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
My answer:
Poorer countries are often given financial assist, which is not able to mitigate poverty, by developed countries, while it is regarded that the poor should be helped through other ways instead of money. I totally agree with this statement, because poor countries do not know how to spend given money thoroughly.
Some people would think that money can solve every problem, but its power fades out in a short term. Because, the big amount of donated money is definitely spent on food and water supplies, whose expenses do not allow to improve other fields that can tackle on poverty. So the poor continue to expect the assist of rich countries for providing their residents with basic needs, after all the money have been spent in a short period.
I also believe that poor countries can not afford to direct funding properly because of skilled governors they are lacking in. It does not need to give money for alleviating poverty levels again and again, if it does not have effect on education and healthcare system. Therefore, nowadays the rich are trying to set up their business and to donate for studying in poorer countries in order to give better education and employment opportunities.
In conclusion, although it would be regarded to help needy countries with money is beneficial, I think there are a lot of assists relating to crucial fields, employment and education, that are more helpful against poverty.
