Task1, 2

The bar chart shows detail on the number of females going into higher education in five countries for the years 1970 and 2005.

Overall, the percentage of women going to higher education increased in 4 countries such as UK, USA, Japan, Germany in 2005 in comparison with the year 1970. Except Canada and the percentage is same for both years.

As it shown in the bar, UK and Canada have the maximum point and it was for 60% in 2005, but the percentage of the UK raised significantly from 30% in 1970 to 60% in 2005. The number of women who live in Canada increased in 1970 to 60% as in 2005.

Japan has the lowest percentage for women in going higher education in comparison with other countries in both years. In 1970 it was for around 20% and in 2005 about 40%. The percentage increased steadily in the USA in 1970 from about 40% to under 60% in 2005 but in Germany it was grow slowly from approximately 50% to under 60%.
