TOPIC: The consumption of the world’s resources (oil, and water etc.) is increasing at a dangerous rate. What are causes and solutions?

Environmental issues always raise public concern and the most alarming problem recently is the overconsumption of natural resources such as fossil fuels or water. This problem is mainly caused by human activities and can be solved by several effective initiatives.
There are numerous issues causing this problem. Firstly, the enlargement of industrial zones together with the invention of giant labour-saving machines has increased the demand for energy sources which are mainly made from fossil fuels. This leads to the fact that people exploit resources without control, triggering the depletion of resources all over the world. Additionally, it is the industrialisation and urbanisation that make important contributions to the shortage of fresh water when the sewage from factories and residential areas is directly discharge into local lakes and rivers.
Some measures can be taken to tackle this heated issue. The first solution is that the government should impose an official law on the exploitation of natural resources. There must be a restriction on the amount of resources each factory can use and if manufacturers break the law, they will have to suffer from strict punishments. Another solution is that instead of using the limited world's resources, people can also make use of alternative energy such as solar, wind or geothermal energy made from eternal resources. This will not only help protect the remaining limited resources from being completely depleted but also lesser human dependence on them.
In conclusion, natural resources such as fossil fuels and water are increasingly used at an alarming rate so essential measures to prevent this process from continuing in the future must be applied
