Nowadays, people think that they are no longer safe either staying at home or going public areas. There are several causes for this issue. Personally, I believe that each individual and government should have responsibilities to solve this issue.
On the one hand, the lack of safety and security, even at home, stems from at least two important causes. Firstly, the gap between the rich and the poor, especially in developing countries such as Viet Nam, is the main cause leading to the increase of criminal rate. As a result of unemployment and poverty, they have to commit to crime in order to have enough money to feed them and their family. Secondly, everyone who uses the roads is aware of the threat of traffic accident resulting from the dramatic increase in private vehicle recently. Consequently, I would be easily understandable why people feel unsafe when they are on the road.
On the other hand, governmental authorities and each individual play vital roles in tackling the issue above. To begin with, it would be better if government encourage international companies to invest money expand production in their countries, which could create more job opportunities for the locals and decrease the gap in society. Moreover, each person should enhance their awareness before criminal issue. For example, in my district, almost houses have been installed camera and security system to protect them against the danger of burglary and robbery. Furthermore, in the term of the traffic accident, authorities should put more traffic light and bump to limit the speed of vehicles. Public transport also should be improved in service and facility, which make people prefer using bus or train than car or motorbike. As a result, road, therefore, becomes more safe and effective.
