Foreign visitors should pay more than local visitors for cultural and historical attractions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, some country argues that overseas tourists should charge more than native for the visit of national cultural heritages. However, whether we should increase the price for foreign tourists is a controversial issue. In my opinion, I disagree with the idea that foreign people should pay more to enjoy their trip to those nations.

First, it is clear that if we increased the price of goods and services to overseas tourists, it would be counterproductive and lead to insufficient subsidies for the maintenance of these national heritages. This is because these tourists who are increased in the cost of goods and services would consider not to travel to these countries, and local people would have fewer opportunities to sell tourist services which means the lower in the tourism income. So, local people should be all happy to make indifferent charges from foreign tourists in order to ensure their main financial.

Moreover, foreign tourists have already contributed a lot to the host country through trading and local services. For example, tourists buy goods, souvenirs, pay for accommodation and other tourism services; it makes up a whole cost of maintaining the local heritage and also is the main financial of local people. Therefore, we do not need to get the maximum profit and get a risk of losing the tourist population.

This is not to say that paying more costs always bad for foreign tourists. In some cases, the foreign tourist does not mind to pay more money as a service's cost and as they want to effectively enjoy their trip if the cost is not too much, and local people who are paid more than normal promoted to work as well as possible. But there are still many of them who feel unpleasant to pay for the cost that they can avoid.

In conclusion, countries should give their attention to the development of higher services quality instead of maximizing profit from making foreign tourists to pay more for goods and services.
