The idea that, besides making money, enterprises also need to have public responsibilities remains a source of controversy. While earning money is the top priority for every company, I agree that they should also run their business in a socially responsible manner.

It can be seen that the effort of companies to maximize their profits may bring advantages to the society. First of all, the more money one’s company can make, the higher the taxes it has to pay. Therefore, the government will have more revenue to spend on indispensable fields such as hospitalities, education, which leads to an improvement in the quality of life of the whole community. Secondly, by earning huge profits companies have the opportunity to expand their business. For example, enterprises could use their capital to expand or open affiliations in different places in the country, providing more empty places for the unemployment.

On the other hand, there are strong reasons why the company should accept that they have social responsibilities. The first one is that the activities of their production impact the environment. Without being controlled, the process of making products may result in environment pollution, which leads to the global warming that we are facing with or be the reason for the unbalance of the ecological. Another reason is that firms should use money to help the unfortunate people, if they have enough abilities to do. By raising a subscription, the company is not only improving the life condition of the community but also creating a better public image in the eyes of society.

In conclusion, although making profits is the main purpose of business, I would agree that each company should think about their responsibility with the community.
