Task 2 in Ielts

In many countries today, people in cities either live alone or in small family units, rather than in large, extended family groups. Is this a positive or negative trend?

We live in an age when many of us choose to live individual or small group rather than crowd members group. It is one of the issues facing us today. This will bring how to a positive benefit. The essay below will explain this.

There are two main reasons why people tend to live individually or in small family units. First of all, it is worth considering the rhythm of life takes place faster and faster in cities. This is really a hardship to people who are living in a family with crowd members. Which means that members have many problems to care and nervous about things. While in small groups, fewer people, everyone can care in a way more careful, at the same time, it will not any complex problems doing members be felt they are abandoned or uncomfortable. Another point worth noting is the members feel their relationship is closer, more intimate than in the big families.

Secondly, living alone or in small family units, the members have a responsibility and protective mental as well as independent about everything in life. Especially, Members have individual space and time to do really they want. Moreover, they also feel free and happy with a life where they can do anything they want but they still know they have a place to come back when they tired where fully warm. On the other hand, the burdens dramatically decrease than a large family such as money problem or take care of other members like older or children. The examples above are one of the main reason due to divorce and breakdown of families.

In conclusion, after things considered above, I tend to agree with living individually or in a small family unit. Although, this depends on different people have different circumstances. But at the same time, I believe that human will choose a way to live well and suit them.
