2 An increasing number of people are changing their careers. What are the reasons? Do you think it is positive or negative?
More and more people decide to switch their job after one year, two years or even ten years working for a specific company. There are some factors that lead to this phenomenon. Though it might have some negative impacts, I personally think that its positive effects are more significant.
Some elements play a part in individuals’ decision of changing their line of work. First, when a person is recruited into a new office environment, they all hope for accumulating experience, learning new things and gaining knowledge. After several years working at the same position in the same company, people might get bored of doing the same tasks again and again. Additionally, the situation might be worse if this candidate doesn’t get promoted because the salary remains unchanged while their demand in life increases sharply. Now, they might find new positions in other offices more attractive because of the higher salary, promotion chance or even better welfare system.
I believe that this phenomenon's beneficial effect is more important than its harmful effects. First, If one keeps maintaining their line of work without much enthusiasm, their performance can not be good. Consequently, the company’ s process is affected in a negative way and both the employee and the company are unprofitable. Instead, pursuing a new attractive job that might be appropriate will help people have the energy to complete working assignments better. Second, though the income may be insecure, switching job gives employees a chance to find a high- paid profession that meets their demand. Trying and figuring out which occupation is suitable for each person is a long but worthy process.
In conclusion, some reasons are responsible for employees’ option of switching their line of works, and I claim that this phenomenon is more likely to benefit.
