Whether or not someone achieves their aims is mostly by a question of luck. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is argue that one’s success depends most on a stroke of luck in their life instead of their hard-working. In my opinion, I completely disagree with that idea.
I believe that only determined and industrious people will achieve their goals, no matter what the goals are. As everyone can see, the success of most famous billionaires doesn’t come from their luck. For example, Jack Ma, the chairman of the e-commerce giant Alibaba, use to be rejected by 30 companies, fails 10 times in applying to Harvard University, then where is his fortune? Despite the failures, he patiently tries his hard in reaching small dreams and gains new experiences so that he will prepare enough to achieve bigger goals. Another clear case of success through determination is Lizzie Velasquez, one of three known people in the world who suffers from a rare syndrome, which prevent her from gaining weight and has caused blindness in her right eyes. As a motivational speaker, he enhances people self-confident, tell them the value of their beauty by sharing her own experiences.
On the other hand, lucky only conquers a small factor in determining one’s achievement. Firstly, people cannot depend on luckiness to become successful. For example, if you don’t have knowledge about the things you are going to do, you will likely to be fail no matter how lucky you are. Moreover, achievement depending on luck wouldn’t last long. For example, a person who win lottery is definitely lucky because that doesn’t require work experiences or anything. However, the truth is lottery cannot be won for the rest of his or her life.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that in order to achieve objectives in life, one must extremely determined and hard-working to follow his or her passion till the end of their life. Eric Thomas once said: “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful”.
