(TASK 2_ IELTS) In the modern world, it is possible to shop, work and communicate with people via the Internet and live without any face-to-face contact with others. Is it a positive or negative development?

In this day and age, we can make a purchase, exchange information, and even work on the Internet rather than directs conservation because of the development of technology. In my opinion, I believe there is both a negative and positive impact on this trend.

Undoubtedly, indirect communication boosts the efficiency of work as the employees can be more focused on their jobs. Moreover, people can also find face-to-face conservation is comfortable since it's not required a formal appearance. In communication, it is easy to contact people from other different countries due to the Internet. The language is no longer a matter as people can get through the language barrier by using translator apps. Finally, the availability of information while shopping is a great advantage for the customer as there is a wide range of sources to purchase. Online shopping also helps the customer save time and petrol on trips to supermarkets around different sites for bargains.

On the other hand, distance conversation has some detrimental effects that affect badly on people. First, the verification of work is easy to attack since the detection system of hackers. Moreover, employees in online conservation rarely communicate with other coworkers, so it can lead to social alienation in the workplace environment. In communication, they can be lack interpersonal skills such as teamwork skill and leadership skill as a lack of workplace environment to develop themselves. Finally, the deliberate cancelled of order is inevitable which may bring lots of disadvantages to the shop owner.

In conclusion, while digital purchasing, employment and communication develop rapidly with the Internet, this trend also causes some negative effects. Therefore, a balance between there is necessary.
