Animal species are becoming extinct as a result of human activities on land

and in sea. Why has this happened? What's the solution?

It is true that animals are being threatened by extinction because of human activities that take place in different organism’s environments, particularly on land and in water. This essay is going to analyze the potential reasons behind this phenomenon and propose measures for people to improve the situation.

There are two primary reasons why human activities are said to cause animals’ extinction. Firstly, the disposal of household wastes into rivers and oceans pollutes the water environment. This results in the ecological crisis and poses a grave threat to the well-being of the aquatic creatures. Secondly, excessive hunting and poaching have led to numerous animal’s disappearance, which is because some species’ body parts are seen as luxury items and status symbols. For example, rhinos are killed as their horns are highly valued on the black market, pushing this creature to the brink of extinction.

Fortunately, certain measures could be taken to tackle this problem. The first suggestion would be improving the sanitation systems, which will help reduce the pollution of the water. For example, attached nets to drainage pipes located in residential areas in order to catch some of the solid waste before it reaches the sea and cause death to many aquatic animals.The second solution would be for the governments to establish natural conservation areas for endangered animals, which will help conserve many wild animals in the red list.

In conclusion, creatures becoming extinct due to human works inshore and offshore can be attributed to the dumping of domestic wastes into the water environment and excessive illegal hunting, however, this problem can be tackled by enhancing the sanitation systems and building conservation areas.
